Metzger Park

Community Partners for Affordable Housing became the asset manager for Metzger Park Apartments in the Fall of 1996. Day to day operations of the 32 unit complex are managed by Income Property Management.

Since taking over the property, CPAH has made a number of improvements:

1. This project was built decades ago. Since that time, extensive development in Tigard, Beaverton and Portland have exacerbated storm drainage problems along Ash Creek. CPAH was able to work with Clean Water Services and Washington County's Office of Community Development to complete a stream bank stabilization project in this area. While no one can prevent floods, this project minimizes the likelihood of such, and stabilizes the buildings for the long run.

2. A small computer room/library was set up.

3. In December 2000, CPAH began a major rehabilitation project at Metzger Park to replace the siding on both apartment blocks, and to repair decks and roofs. As part of CPAH's effort to follow green building practices wherever possible, Hardiplank siding was chosen for this project. To date, all siding has been replaced and deck repairs and painting have been completed.

4. In 2003, the children's play structure was replaced.

5, In August 2005, both parking lots were resurfaced.
